Still plugging along..

Hey everyone! It's been a while since I've given an update. The WINK Fashion show was a huge success and I had a great time. The past couple of months has been crazy busy. We spent about 10 days in SC for my brother in laws wedding. When we got back we packed up our stuff and moved up to Fishers. So, we are officially north siders again. Yay! Since the move I have been hustling to find a full time job. I was throughly enjoying doing the fun stuff, but that will all have to be stuff on the side for now. I'm working with a temp agency, who is keeping me busy. It's kind of fun getting to move around and try out different companies and meet new people. I do look forward to finding something permanent though. We've got a couple of busy weeks ahead, but I promise to get back into the swing of things soon and put some new things on here. If you have any requests or need anything in the meantime just let me know! I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying their summer!

Trying out some rings.....

So, I'm trying out some rings. Some of them were a little trickier than I expected to get just right, but I think these are pretty sassy. There are more to come!

My brother in-law is marrying his long time girlfriend (FINALLY!...lol) and I was given the honor of making earrings for her to wear for her wedding. So, here's what I came up with. I think they'll look beautiful with her dress!

I'm a vendor at the WINK Fashion Show!!!

Well, I've gotten confirmation that I get to be a vendor at the WINK Fashion show on May 5, 2011! Woohoo!! If you're anything like me you'd much rather see stuff in person before you buy it. So, here's your chance! WINK stands for Women Increasing Networking Knowledge. This is a great event for women to support their local fashion designers and do a little networking with other awesome ladies in the process. There will be hors d' oeuvres, a cash bar and goodie bags! There will be other vendors to check out as well plus a fashion show put on by local boutiques and designers. It's going to be a blast! Trying out some new colors and throwing some flowers in for spring. I'm so ready for warm weather and sunshine already! There's also a couple more custom pieces I did. A client gave me their beads and asked me to turn them into jewelry. I'm keeping busy over the next couple of months. I'm helping Q Artistry with The Bunny Spectacular (check it out at http://qartistry.org/shows/bunny-spectacular.html) and teaching a photography 101 class at the Indianapolis Senior Center. I've been making some new things this weekend. As you can see I was on a purple, black and gray kick, but all colors and bead styles can be swapped out. There is also a special order piece for a friend. She saw a photo of a necklace that she liked, but only really liked certain parts of it. So, I took the photo and replicated the parts she liked. Special order prices will vary depending on the piece and materials used.

Also, there have been some questions about shipping. If you're in the U.S. shipping is $3.00 plus $.50 for each additional piece. Outside the U.S. will be $4.50 plus $.50 for each additional piece. At the moment I am only able to accept cash, checks and money orders. So, unless you are mailing a check I will just meet you for delivery. So, these charges won't apply unless you are out of the Indianapolis metro area. I will be sure to let everyone know when I am able to take credit cards.
